Having topped Vogue’s ‘most stylish women’ list back in December 2009, Alexa Chung is now British Vogue’s March issue cover star. The model/presenter was described by the mag as having a “schoolgirl meets grandma” and “Brit-girl abroad” sense of style. Photographed by Alasdair McLellan, we’re loving the high-heel clog and ripped jeans combo.

Annie Leibovitz and Damien Hirst designing for Louis Vuitton

Annie Leibovitz, Damien Hirst and other luminaries from the worlds of art and fashion are, this season, turning their hand to luggage design for Louis Vuitton. To celebrate the 150th birthday of the designer’s bespoke luggage division, Vuitton’s artisans will be creating one-off pieces that’ll then be auctioned at Sotheby’s in London on 17 November in aid of the Red Cross. Louis Vuitton’s Creative Director Marc Jacobs has even pitched in to help raise money; creating a special dog trunk that’ll house his two pet terriers in the hold of an aeroplane.

Fashion’s Night Out: 10 September
On 10 September Vogue is celebrating its first-ever ‘Fashion’s Night Out’ event with a host of special events, including designers and celebrities making personal appearances and members of the Vogue team offering fashion ideas and advice. Our stylejunkee tip for the night is the live Vogue shoot in Chanel on Bond Street between 7pm and 8pm. Styled by Kate Phelan and shot by Jean Michel, with Luke Hersheson doing hair and Kay Montano make-up, it’ll be fashion history in the making. Chanel, 173 New Bond Street.

Sienna Miller on the cover of US Vogue (for the second time)
So it seems US Vogue editor Anna Wintour has ignored her own criticism of Sienna Miller as being “too toothy” and made her a cover star for a second time (the first was back in 2007). And jolly good too because the British actress is looking pretty damn stunning in a one-shoulder silk red dress made specially for the occasion by Calvin Klein. Aay up… Natalia Vodianova on Vogue’s June ‘09 cover appears to be posing nude and the whole effect (while very lovely) is mighty similar to that of Beth Ditto on Love magazine’s first issue. Are the powers that be over at Conde Nast running out of cover ideas? Shock horror. It’s either that or someone has realised bare-all actually correlates to sell-all… We’re thinking the latter.

Alexandra Shulman speaks out on Vogue, the recession and… of course… fashion
Vogue’s Alexandra Shulman in The Independent on Saturday: “Fashion is smoke and mirrors – a lot of it. We create images, we create a world of stuff, yes, ultimately to make people want to have it. Yes, most people in the Western world don’t need another expensive coat. They probably don’t need another white T-shirt either. They don’t need it. What we’re trying to do is make people want it. There is an argument to say that is evil. But obviously I don’t believe that.”

Cheryl Cole on the cover of next month’s Vogue
Looking stunning on the cover of the February issue of Vogue magazine, Cheryl Cole reveals in an interview inside the magazine how she struggles to control her weight and how “horrendous” it was when footballer husband Ashley cheated on her. “He’s learning,” she told Vogue. “He has a beautiful soul, he’s a really nice guy and I’m not stupid, you know. I’m really not.”
