Put together for Space NK staff, it features the brand’s totally cool and fabulously-named founder Doe Deere. (Yup, she’s the striking red-head in the piccy above.) Here’s hoping they start stocking more of the line soon afterwards.

The yuletide festivities take their toll and detox-time is here. We’ve handpicked our five fave beauty detox products:
REN Multi-mineral Pore Minimising Detox Mask, £17.25, Harvey Nichols
This deep cleansing and purifying detox mask works wonders when it comes to drawing out impurities (like yukky blackheads), reducing pore size and eliminating dead skin cells. Leaving skin plumper and younger-looking, it’s a must-have for every detox-junkie.
Boots Detox Brush, £5.50
Brush brush brush those impurities away. The Organic Pharmacy Liver & Kidney Detox Tincture, £10.76
Combines Dandelion, Milk Thistle, Astragalus, Marshmallow, Berberis, Artichoke and Shizandra to support your liver and kidneys during a detox (as well as before and after a drinking session!).
Ina 1000g White Gold Detoxifying Crystal Salts, £44.04, at Space NK
If you believe what the experts at Space NK say bathing in these luxurious crystal salts is the equivalent of undergoing a three-day detox programme. What’s more, Kylie is a fan and the minerals in the salts are so small they actually permeate skins cells (which basically means they work pretty damn hard).
Madal Bal Natural Tree Syrup, £39.99
Mix it with lemon juice, water and cayenne pepper then drink and be merry for three to 10 days (depending on your experience as a detoxer). Increased energy, clearer skin, and general all-round good health will be yours. Beyonce does it… so why shouldn’t we?
Just how delectable is this brand new richly-coloured eye shadow quartet by Chantecaille? Apply with a wet brush for a richer deeper colour or dry for a lovely iridescent sparkle. Sylvie Quattro Palette, £73.40, at Space NK.
Long live Lipstick Queen Poppy King and her latest triumphant offering, Butterfly Ball Shimmer Treatment lipsticks. In slightly iridescent colours – funnily enough, just like that of a butterfly’s wings – these lip-tastic beauts have a flash of purply blue running through them which… and this is the best bit… makes teeth appear whiter. And it works. All hail to that. £17 at SpaceNK.
Space NK’s latest offering, Life NK, is a range of everyday beauty staples that’s bound to appeal to the eco-conscious. The luxurious line of pampering goodies is totally paraban, sulfate and silicon free. We love the soul soothing body lotion (it smells yummy and absorbs like a dream), and the Life NK candles (try mandarin grapefruit) are pretty good too.
The fragrance bods at Diptyque have come up with a rather spiffing new offering: Beauty and Beast candles. This new duo of scented loveliness features individual aromas that blend when burnt together. Beast is woody and manly and Beauty is, of course, girly and flowery. It’s the perfect his and hers – yours is the beauty and his the beast… And, like all good partnerships, when put together it makes sweet smelling heaven. £55 for both, at Diptyque boutiques.
Check out the launch video for the candles (above).
Diptyque’s new travel set makes travelling that bit easier. Suitable for both men and women. £22.51 at Spacenk.co.uk.
First starting her own lipstick brand just six months after leaving school, Poppy King has gone on to take the cosmetics industry by storm giving ladies all over the world something to pout about. Poppy lets us in on a few secrets about lipstick, upcoming makeup trends and her plans for the future of Lipstick Queen.
So… how important is lipstick?
Lipstick is the only cosmetic that can totally transform your mood. The others simply correct or enhance.
Where do you think your lifelong ‘infatuation’ with designing lipsticks came from?
It came from a fascination with what it means to be female and to me lipstick is the ultimate female icon.
Where do you find inspiration for new shades and products?
From art, films, cities, words and people. I see everything in technicolour.
Do you ever not wear lipstick or lip-gloss?
Yes; on those days when I feel like being invisible.
Aside from lipstick what are your three makeup must-haves? Shu Uemura eyelash curlers, mascara and blush.
What’s the most expensive thing in your makeup bag right now? And what’s the cheapest?
Probably the makeup bag itself! I don’t buy expensive cosmetics and my lipsticks are reasonably priced. The cheapest thing would be the Maybelline Cover Up from a drugstore in the US.
Do lip plumpers actually work?
I don’t think you need the sting to make lip plumpers work which is why I developed my Big Bang Illusion Gloss which makes the lips appear fuller by using very fine particle shimmers to blur the light and put the lips in soft focus.
Tippy top of this summer’s must-have lipgloss list is Lipstick Queen’s soon-to-be-released Chinatown glossy pencil. These super-sheer and super-glam ‘draw on’ glosses hit Space NK stores nationwide and online next month and are bound to rocket to iconic status in no time. With five vibrant and wearable shades to choose between – from pink to watermelon – the glosses come with a jumbo-sized pencil sharpener and gorgeous movie-inspired packaging. Hurrah. £18 at Spacenk.co.uk.
Diptyque’s new line of body care products takes inspiration from the native plants of five exotic global locations, including Syria and Turkey. Our fave is the Alexandrian orange blossom body lotion. From £22 at Space NK and Diptyque stores.
Fancy a whopping pout and a wafer like silhouette next time you gloss up? Course you do. And, thanks to Purple Lab, the reality could be closer than you think… well, maybe… Brand new lip gloss Huge Lips, Skinny Hips promises much much more than shiny, glossy smackers. The brainchild of beauty aficionado Karen Robinovitz and created by cosmetics company Purple Lab, Huge Lips, Skinny Hips includes Hoodia Gordonii extract, a substance found in a South African and Namibian plant, which has been used for centuries as an appetite suppressant. Launching in Space NK from 15 February, it’s one product that’s bound to fly off the shelves pretty damn fast. Available in six colours, including sultry red, flirty coral and perfect nude. £18 at Space NK.
Beauty queens will be hot footing it to Space NK next month to check out By Terry’s luxurious new collection, ‘Opulence’. For the ultimate in indulgence, check out the brand’s Nectar Opulent Intensive Youth-Reviving Cream. It’s pretty damn divine, and for £208 you’d expect little else. Combining active ingredients with anti-ageing formulas to help strengthen skin structure and restore radiance, it practically melts into the skin and is almost good enough to eat. Nectar Opulent Intensive Youth-Reviving Cream, available from February at Space NK.
