Rush on sales of nipple covers to keep up with underwear as outerwear trend
The spring/summer 2010 trend for underwear as outerwear has apparently seen a rush on sales of nipple covers, according to department store Selfridges. Lace bodice and corset-wearing celebs like Lily Allen, Victoria Beckham and Rhianna have already paved the way for the trend that involves as much sheer underwear on display as possible. The nipple covers, of course, are an essential bit of kit.

Steal the style of: Daisy Lowe’s tattoo transfers
Daisy Lowe, as seen below at the launch of her jewellery collection for Swarovski, was one of the first to showcase an upcoming trend for tattoo transfers. The 20-year-old model’s interlocking Chanel logo tattoo was taken from a collection of transfers inspired by hand-painted body art seen on models in Karl Lagerfeld’s catwalk show last year. Chanel are dubbing the trend ’Decalomania’. And the good news for those wishing to copy the look is that the transfers will be available from 1st March at Selfridges and Chanel… (luckily, they’ll be sold for the rather un-Chanel-like price tag of £49 - which gets you a 55-piece set). Will we be seeing the words ‘Chanel’ tattooed across stomachs and foreheads next?!

The latest anti-ageing miracle cream to go on sale at Selfridges next month

US-based beauty brand 3Lab is, next month, launching a £195 anti-ageing miracle cream made from the stem-cells of rare Swiss apples. According to its website 3Lab “utilises the highest-grade of botanical ingredients and advanced ’state-of-the-art’ scientific technologies to contest the forces of nature and time”. Ooo la la. Can’t really argue with that, can you? The cream’s fancy sounding ingredients certainly seem impressive enough - take Phyto-CelTec Malus Domestica, Anti-Cyto Stressor, Happybelle and Nano-Claire GY for example - but whether or not it’ll actually slow or halt the ageing process is up for debate… Try it for yourself at Selfridges from next month.
