Seeing Kate Moss looking super-stylish in a bright green maxi dress at the opening of Topshop New York has sent us in maxi-fuelled tizz searching for our faves for the summer season ahead. Top of our wish list is this one-shoulder Philosophy Di Alberta Ferretti colour block dress, £830 from Net-a-porter.com. But for something a bit more credit crunch friendly, this Topshop Richard Nicoll number perfectly exudes designer chic at a lovely jubbly £55 price tag. Both embrace the very ‘now’ trend for colour blocking.
Will we be seeing Kate Middleton in this fabulous, statement-making Issa plunge front jumpsuit? (In case you hadn’t already noticed our Kate is a big fan of the designer.) £524, at Net-a-Porter.
The perfect bag for spring days… (planning spring/summer wardrobes is of course what January is all about). Andy small canvas tote, £670, by Chloe, at Net-a-porter.com
Vintage lovers take note: January sees the launch of global luxury vintage e-commerce site Atelier-mayer.com. The brainchild of Carmen Haid and Alice Kodell, the e-tailer will be selling rare designer pieces, sourced with the help of Sotheby’s and Cameron Silver (owner of vintage couturier, Decades).
Plus… (as if that wasn’t good enough!?)
Net-a-porter.com junkies will be waiting with baited breath for the designer e-tailer’s latest venture Theoutnet.com. Launching early next year, the online outlet will be a discounted version of Net-a-porter.
A hot favourite with celebrity fashionistas, the leopard print coat is a long-time wardrobe staple and for very good reason - it adds instant glamour to any outfit. StyleJunkee is coveting Dorothy Perkins’ Snow leopard fur coat for the budget busting price of £40, and Net-a-Porter’s See by Chloe box jacket for a spree spending £470.
Victoria Beckham’s dresses are finally available to buy online at Victoriabeckhamcollection.com, with a capsule range on sale at Selfridges’ London and Manchester stores. The rest of the collection will be available from Net-a-porter.com and Harrods from the start of January. Expect to pay from £650 upwards and, if you haven’t already seen it, check out her quirky video advertising the range - posted here - for inspiration. La Beckham even stars in the short film - though you’ll need to be quick to spot her!
Stella McCartney has added a lingerie line to her collections and top of our lust-have list is this floral print undies set, made from organic cotton. Bra, £85, and briefs, £45, available at Net-a-porter.com, Selfridges, Harrods and Liberty.
This season’s jewellery is all about making a statement and the larger the better. Oversized necklaces should be paired with chunky chunky bracelets. This Marc by Marc Jacobs cuff taps into spring/summer 2009’s trend for bows and, best of all, is completely affordable at £60. Bowhaus acrylic cuff, at Net-a-porter.com
Sunny autumnal days can only mean one thing: a new pair of shades. These Jimmy Choo’s should be top of your must-have list. Julia sunglasses, £185 from Net-a-porter.com
