Check out this brand new trippy-tastic TV commercial for Matthew Williamson’s recently launched summer collection for H&M. Watch for Williamson’s starring role at the end. We love it (especially the soundtrack).
The fashion pack will be in sartorial heaven when Matthew Williamson’s H&M collection launches on 23rd April. By the looks of these preview pics - as seen in Vogue’s April issue - the designer’s iconic and oh so covetable pieces are bound to fly off the rails.
Stride into spring with colour on your side. Embrace the trend for colour-blocking with these kooky papaya shorts, and a bright and breezy cardi like this one by Malene Birger. Team with a pair of contrastingly-coloured flats and you’re all set. Darice cotton cardigan, £195, by Malene Birger at Net-a-Porter. Origami cotton shorts, £250, by Matthew Williamson at Net-a-Porter.
Actresses Frida Pinto and Sienna Miller were among the bevvy A-list beauties to scoop accolades last night at the star-studded Elle Style Awards. The gorgeous Frida looked fabulous in a black Chanel dress and boho-loving Sienna looked her usual kooky self in a Matthew Williamson ruffle dress and Louis Vuitton blazer.
StyleJunkee is super super super excited about 2009 and for three stonkingly good reasons - Chalayan, Williamson and Chanel:
1) Hussein Chalayan (that’s MBE, twice-crowned British Designer of the Year Hussein Chalayan)’s Design Museum Retrospective (from 22 January). A fashion and style lover’s must-do.
2) The April launch of Matthew Williamson (Red Carpet Designer of the Year)’s capsule collection for high-street fave H&M. Somehow we just know that spring/summer is going to be one long festival of colour and floaty hippy-chic.
3) The upcoming release of not just one but two Chanel biopics. Coco Avant Chanel, starring the very lovely Audrey Tautou and focusing on Coco’s early life… and William Friedkin’s Coco & Igor, about the designer’s relationship with Stravinsky.
