So it’s London Fashion Week and many a luxury brand seem to have had the fine old idea of opening a store (well how clever to do so when all eyes are on the big smoke)… First there was Dunhill’s swanky three-floor emporium to all things masculine at Bourdon House, then came the turn of Dolce & Gabbana, who hit the ground running by opening their first men’s flagship store on Sloane Street. Fine jewellers Guy and Max’s open the doors to their first shop in Shepherd Market (with free champagne for the fashion glitterati) and Liberty’s new super high end shoe boutique is now ready and waiting, housing shoes for every occasion imaginable. Credit crunch? What credit crunch. London is swinging.
