Oh how we love to hate dear Gwyneth Paltrow. The rock star husband, the body to die for, the cute kids, the big acting career… is there no end to it? And now our Gwynnie is turning her hand to fashion design by collaborating with French label ZOEtee to create a capsule collection from which all proceeds will go to charity The London Kid’s Company. Expect a chic take on the casual jersey and soft separates ZOEtee is known for. Set to launch in London later this week.

Alli, a new wonder diet pill could be available to buy over the counter in a matter of a few months. Having been given the thumbs up by Europe’s medicine watchdog, the £1-a-day drug works by stopping the body from absorbing fat in food. Studies have shown the average user shed 10lbs over six months - but that’s if you can put up with the side effects (wind, diarrhoea and reduced vitamin absorption to name a few). Dr Vidhu Bansal-Dev, of Glaxo’s U.S. healthcare division, who make the drug said “It is the most extensively studied weight loss drug in the world and proven to help people lose weight and feel better about themselves.”… Something tells me it’s going to be a huge hit - it’ll definitely make Gwyneth’s life a whole lot easier, although then she’d have nothing to GOOP about, so… perhaps not.

Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed details of the detox she embarked on last spring to readers of her weekly GOOP newsletter and, according to the actress, the process “was not what you would characterise as pretty. Or easy.” Admitting she needs to “lose a few pounds of holiday excess” our Gwynnie is back on the regime that apparently is so “hardcore” it even caused her to hallucinate. The diet involves drinking lots of water and not eating “dairy, grains with gluten, meat, shellfish, anything processed (including all soy products), fatty nuts, nightshades (potatoes, tomatoes, peppers and eggplant), condiments, sugar and obviously no alcohol, caffeine or soda.”

Gwyneth Paltrow has become the latest celeb to apologise for unknowingly posing in fox fur. In a campaign shoot for luxury label Tod’s, the actress - who is famously close to anti-fur designer Stella McCartney - was apparently posing in all kinds of clothes, none involving fur, when a stylist came up and draped a stole around her shoulders. Our Gwynnie apparently assumed it was fake fur and didn’t think to make sure. According to reports in USWeekly.com, Paltrow tried to make amends for the error with the vice president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, Dan Mathews. ”So it’s my fault,” she admitted sheepishly to Mathews. “I know it’s not a great excuse, but I hope you and your members understand.”

Described by the 35 year old as “A collection of experiences of what makes life good”, Paltrow offers reams of advice, including: “Make your life good. Invest in what’s real. Cook a meal for someone you love. Pause before reacting. Clean out your space. Read something beautiful. Treat yourself to something. Go to a city you’ve never been to. Learn something new. Don’t be lazy. Workout and stick with it.”

And if that wasn’t enough for one day, sign up to Goop and you’ll receive regular words of wisdom on everything from diet and exercise to where to go on holiday - all sent via email. Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has angered animal rights campaigners by fronting the autumn collection of fur-lined boots and bags and ostrich and snakeskin products by Italian company Tod’s. It does seem a somewhat strange move for the 35-year-old, especially given the fact that both the Hollywood star’s hubbie and good friend Stella McCartney are both staunchly vegetarian. Tod’s latest ad campaign will feature photographs of Gywnnie draped in fox fur.

What a leggy lovey actress Gwyneth Paltrow is showing herself to be at the moment. The gorgeous star – who is currently on a promo tour for her latest film Iron Man – is sticking to a signature style of barely there dresses and skirts and the highest heels you’ve ever seen. On plenty this look would smack of trailor trash but, oh no, not on our Gwyneth.
