StyleJunkee was lucky enough to be invited to the Felder Felder SS13 show at London Fashion Week last night – (thanks to Baileys, who provided yummy cocktails beforehand). And a pretty rock and roll show it was too.
Kate Nash’s live vocals kicked it all off and identical twins Annette and Daniela Felder’s Broken Wings collection was a big hit, full of beautifully delicate evening tailoring, pretty prints and gorgeous fabrics. Drawing inspiration from real life details, including broken butterfly wings that appear as leopard print, and abstract prints taken from old Polaroid photographs, our faves were the backless maxi dresses and applique swimming costumes. The front row was choc-a with everyone from Nancy Dell’Ollio to Lady Victoria Hervey, Theo Hutchcroft, Jameela Jamil and Laura Whitmore.

The new Orla Kiely body care and home fragrance range is a bathroom pleaser if ever we saw one. Not only does it look super cool, it’s also free from petrochemicals, sulphates, parabens and artificial colourings. And the candles smell lush too. It’s available from 15th September at John Lewis and prices start at £8.
We love Lady Dior’s retro vibe and this teaser video for the brand’s web documentary chronicling actress Marion Cotillard adventures at the house is really cute. Here she’s shown getting ready for the Met Ball, signing autographs at the Cannes International Film Festival and visiting the house’s couture atelier to watch a dress commission being made. It’s a great little insight into the Dior world and we can’t wait for the full docu to be released… In case you were wonderinf the bag shown at the start of the clip is a classic – the Lady Dior Cannage Tote, and one of our favourites.
Of course, what you put into your body is just as important – if not more – as what you put on it and Fushi’s tasty herbal drink is our favourite new find for all-round beauty on the inside. Formulated specially for healthy skin, hair and nails, it contains essential nutrients known for their health and beauty promoting properties. Best of all, it tastes delicious and can be mixed with water to drink on the go.
Organic beauty brand Fushi also do a lovely herbal shampoo and conditioner. The company’s products are on the slightly more expensive side – at £15.26 for a shampoo and £18.32 for conditioner – but we think the shiny, healthy looking hair that results from using them is well worth the extra cost.
From Christopher Kane to Prada, pretty purple and hot violet were big news on the Autumn/Winter 2012 catwalks. Nail the trend with perfectly polished purple talons. Here are our favourite shades on the high street…

Pippa Middleton wowed the crowd at the US Open Tennis last week wearing a bright yellow lace shift dress with 3/4 sleeves and a scallop hem. We love the frock and have been scouring the shops ever since to track it down. As it turns out it’s actually a bargain buy from Phase Eight - it’s currently on sale at the store’s website for £49.50 (reduced from £99) – and is also available in white. Steal Pippa’s style teaming it with brown wedges or make the dress your own by adding some chunky heels, a colour pop handbag and an armful of bangles and you’ve a great 1960s inspired look.
The new Somerset by Alice Temperley line, which launched at John Lewis this week, is just as covetable as her mainline. We’ve plenty of pieces on our wish list but here are a few at the top of it… The whole collection is just so feminine and delightful, rather like Alice herself. We love that hundreds of fans headed to John Lewis to meet the designer herself when the line launched, and to thank them for coming she decided to serve them all cups of tea! How utterly cute is that?
