Apparently Boots’ Aqueous Cream has become an overnight best seller as the credit crunch sends people reaching for cheaper beauty essentials. Boots have revealed that some stores are having trouble keeping up with demand, ordering 10-12 tubs a day just to keep it on the shelves. And here’s the lovely Kate Winslet posing seductively in Agent Provocateur stockings, YSL heels and an £11,500 fox fur throw. But according to press reports, the 33-year-old apparently only agreed to pose with the fur on the belief that it was fake. Animal rights campaigners have since spotted tell-tale signs that the fur is, in fact, real, and Vanity Fair have been forced to make an apology since our dear Kate is very much against wearing fur. A representative for the magazine says: “Although there were both real and fake furs on set, the fur used in the photograph is real. We thought Miss Winslet was aware of this and we’re sorry for the miscommunication.”
