Somerset House is to show a Valentino collection that took more than 50 years to make and features more than 130 of the Italian designer’s gowns, as worn by the likes of Grace Kelly and Julia Roberts. Valentino: Master of Couture will open in November and showcase many never-been-seen-before dresses as well as photographs and mementos from his personal archive, films showing his atelier at work and Valentino’s virtual museum. Visitors will walk a 60-metre catwalk, with the mannequins forming the front row and audience, so, from the sounds of it, the whole experience is going to be utterly stylish and fabulous from start to finish. The exhibition is on from 29th November 2012 to 3rd March 2013.
