X Factor fashion faves from the weekend
Last year’s X Factor came under fire for its racy outfits – in particular those of Rihanna and Christina Aguilera – and the TV talent show promised to tone things down. But this year there’s been no less cleavage on view so far, and risqué outfits are a plenty. We loved Tulisa’s ballerina-style look last night and Kelly’s super-glam floor-length sheer black Julien Macdonald number. In stark contrast to her usual flamboyant self Katy Perry channeled a demure and pared-down vibe and performance, complete with a forties-style hair ‘do and simple outfit of white short-sleeved shirt and black trousers. Of the contestants Misha Bryan entered and won her very own fashion face-off in a shimmering purple power-shoulder jumpsuit, gold-trimmed ankle boots and a mountainous head of hair. The effect was statement making to say the least and, as we’ve come to expect, she carried it off with just the right amount of va va voom.
