Floral Playsuits
Floral playsuits are everywhere right now. Comfortable, flattering, feminine and girly, they make a fun alternative to summery frocks. And, for those who like the practical side of this season’s other hot trend – the jumpsuit – but don’t feel daring enough to adopt it, the floral playsuit is ideal. It’s a ready-made outfit that’s easy to accessorise and will look fab throughout the summer. Dress it down with leggings and a cardi on cooler days, dress it up with glam gold jewellery on evenings out, and look forward to the autumn when it’ll look gorgeous with thick tights and boots.

Here’s our style guide to wearing the floral playsuit:
Team with a white vest top, Ray-Bans, Grecian sandals and simple accessories for a look that’s both playful and chic at the same time.
On days when it’s too breezy to parade those pins work the look with opaque tights or, if you’re feeling really daring, fishnets. Oh, and you’ll even be able to wear your playsuit into winter by teaming it with thick tights and boots.
A playsuit that’s too baggy is just as unflattering as one that’s skin-tight. If you’re on the large size go for a slightly loose-waisted playsuit, then cinch it in at the waist with a chunky belt and elongate your silhouette with toweringly-high sandals or cute summer wedges.
If you think floral playsuits are too girly and young looking, think again. Some of the black floral styles are perfectly sophisticated and look great on all ages. Maggie Gyllenhaal, Paris Hilton and Victoria Beckham are all huge fans of the black floral playsuit.
To add a touch of grown–up glamour team your floral playsuit with a bright patent clutch.
Dig out your old denim jacket – they’re perfect for dressing down a daytime playsuit. Add some brightly coloured bangles and colour pop pumps and you’re all set.
If you’re larger up top choose a style that’s loose fitting on top but cinched in at the waist to draw attention to your legs and bottom.
Geek chic is really in right now so copy the style by pairing your floral playsuit with brown sandals and a vintage–look brown leather satchel.
Short playsuits are a great way to wear this must–have item. They’re much more flattering than their longer–legged sister, the jumpsuit – which can end up looking frumpy.
Spaghetti strap floral playsuits make a great summer statement. Ramp up the look for nights out on the town with gorgeous vintage jewellery and gold strappy sandals.
