The rather lovely daughter of Rolling Stones band member, Ronnie Wood and his wife Jo, singer and model Leah recently left good old Blighty for an exciting new life down under. We caught up with her to hear all about the big move, and to chat about make-up, motherhood and important life lessons…
Why did you decide to move to Sydney?
Sydney was a quick and sporadic move, I’ve always wanted to live somewhere hot and Sydney was just there at the right time.
What are you enjoying most about living in Sydney?
I’m enjoying the outdoors, swimming in the sea and keeping fit and healthy.
Are any family or friends planning a trip out to visit?
Yes, both, family and friends are planning trips this Christmas and early next year, so I’m happy about that.
How long do you think you’ll stay in Sydney?
It’s hard to say how long just yet, but I think I will be over here for at least another few years.
How are you finding life as a mother?
Life as a mother is challenging, every day always doing something new and adventurous. It’s rewarding as well and I understand people who want to have more.
What’s your number one beauty tip?
Always wash your make-up off after a night out. Does your face wonders and you don’t look like a Panda the next morning!!
What make-up item could you not do without?
I Love my Carmex lip balm.
How do you describe your style?
My style is polished/chic; I love how Audrey Hepburn dressed.
Which are your favourite designers at the moment?
SASS & BIDE, Versace and Prada.
What do you owe to your parents?
My LIFE….
What are your best and worst qualities?
My best qualities are my sense of humour and that I’m artistic and caring. My worst qualities are that I’m critical and fastidious.
When are you happiest?
Happiest when I’m being stroked on my face by my little girl as she sings a little song.
Who are your best friends?
My best friends are the ones that I have met through college.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement is having my little girl last year.
What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
Life is still teaching me important things, and will do for as long as I live.
What is your greatest fear?
To be in a world war.
Who are your heroes in life?
My heroes are the people who have made an impression in the world, such as John Lennon, Monet, Pablo Picasso, and Julian Assange.
