Rentokil is reporting a rise in infestations because more people are going abroad and unwittingly bringing unwelcome visitors back with them in their luggage. Sometimes, though, bugs pop up in such a way that nobody calls the exterminator. A couple of years ago it was Lou Rota with her beetle-motif plates, and now it’s Barbara Coupe’s hand-embroidered cushions, £55 each.
