Some shops rarely appear on the style radar – not because their products are bad, but because they’re not particularly trend led. So it comes as quite a shock to see where some of the most exciting cushions are being sold this season. Would you really have thought Dwell would tackle the edgy skull trend, with their Tattoo cushion, £19.95? That Wesley Barrell – already in on the bird motif that is set to be huge next spring – would be stocking this Birdcage cushion, £60? And that Sofa Workshop, known for comfort rather than glamour, would go all out with a series of screen sirens, £79 each? Right now, the middle of the road is clearly the place to be.
