Snake venom face cream is the latest in anti-ageing beauty treatments and, since going on sale in Selfridges last week, it’s been a massive hit, flying off the shelves at at the rate of 50 tubs a day. If you ask me, it all sounds a teensy bit unnecessary… Incorporating synthesised snake venom (which mimics the effect of a snakebite of course), skin is left ’stunned’ after application – as it would be if attacked by the reptile.
