Jeans-bikini-pants are apparently going down a treat in Brazil and Japan… Somehow I can’t quite see them catching on elsewhere though?! Having said that perhaps there’ll be some takers in chavsville?

 Brown girl…

We girlies love looking sun-kissed but it’s got to be out-of-a-bottle these days and definitely not the result of days exposing oneself to harmful rays or countless trips to the tanning parlour. That said spray-tans can be expensive and who wants to spend an hour standing in front of a beautician with only a pair of paper knickers on anyway? The answer comes in the form of the Babyliss Beach Bronze Salon Tanning System. Once you get the knack of it, it’s actually pretty good and also a darn-site cheaper than going to the salon. £29.99 from Boots.com (on special offer - usual price £59.99).

 ASOS dress

How cute is this ASOS frock? Until now I hadn’t thought I would be partaking in spring/summer’s art-school trend, but this romantic watercolour chiffon bandeau dress is very pretty. Perhaps the trend’s painterly prints aren’t so out-of-reach after all? £30 from ASOS.com

 Coleen and wedding dresses (again!)

Our dear Coleen knows exactly what she wants to do with her wedding dress now the big day is over… Far from stuffing it in a box under the spare bed, or popping it in storage, she apparently plans to house it in a specially-made display cabinet! Well what else would you do with a £100,000 gown but have it permanently on show? Hubbie Wayne is said to have a trophy room in the couple’s Cheshire mansion so the cabinet-housed dress will fit in perfectly. How about an open-day for viewings Col?

Rumours Victoria Beckham will show at New York Fashion Week

Queen Vic B (of LA LA land) is at it again - playing fashion designer that is… But this time we hear she’s aiming for the glittering heights of New York Fashion Week for the ultimate showcase of her sartorial creations. In a recent interview the ex-Spice girl revealed that she plans to show a new collection of dresses at New York Fashion Week this September. She commented, “I’m just putting it together at the moment, they will be very upscale dresses and likely to start at around $1,200 retail. I’m going to be using very expensive fabrics and finishes, lots of embroideries.” StyleJunkee will keep you posted.

 High-tech mascara

Vibrating mascara? Whatever next?! Estee Lauder’s latest wave-making product is just that: a rather clever battery-operated device that vibrates at 125 micropulses a second to help create volume and separate the lashes. Make-up experts have long advocated for a back and forth upward moving technique for the perfect mascara application and this first-of-its-kind product looks set to cause more than a few shakes when it hits US stores on 17 July. A UK release date will follow soon after. The jury is out as far as StyleJunkee is concerned. Applying mascara correctly can be tricky enough without a vibrating brush (?!) but as soon as we get to test one out we’ll be reporting back…

 What no frizz?

It’s no great surprise to us girlies at StyleJunkee that John Frieda’s Frizz Ease Serum has been named as one of the 10 best cult beauty buys - selling at the pretty impressive rate of 13 per minute in the UK. The product has won accolade after accolade and is a must-have tool transforming curly, unruly hair into tamed luscious locks. It’s fab for controlling that ever so slightly frizzy top layer on newly straightened hair too. £5.95 at Superdrug.

 Homemaker must stay at home

Oh dear.. further to my posting of a couple of days ago about Martha Stewart hosting afternoon tea and a talk about her new Wedgwood dining collection at Harrods on 26th June, StyleJunkee has learnt that the former jailbird is banned from Britain because of her criminal convictions. Apparently she was also due to give a talk at the Royal Academy and had various meetings set up including with Jasper Conran - but that’s all been cancelled. How embarrassing… Never fear though, we’ll all still be able to buy Martha’s new Wedgwood line at Harrods - it’s exclusively available at the store until October 2008.

 Body bootcamp in a bottle

Summer ready svelte bikini-clad bodies require prepping and preening and, in my opinion, when that involves pumping iron at the gym, it’s all a bit dull. Ok… so I may be up for cheating but when there are figure-fixing products to assist with beach body confidence to be had, I’m all for checking them out. The latest ‘cheat’ product to take pride of place on my beauty shelf is Mama Mio’s Shrink To Fit and, shock horror, it actually does work.. According to the jargon on its mighty colourful bottle it’s packed with a revolutionary ingredient called Adiposlim that helps shrink fat cells and prevent new ones forming. Whatever. But seriously though, it does something… and something is surely better than nothing. £45 from Mamamio.com.

 Quick fix haircare

Now I love a good rock festival as much as the next person but if there’s one thing I absolutely cannot bear about weekend-long music fests it’s the not being able to wash properly, and worst of all not being able to wash one’s hair at all. Cue weapon of choice - dry shampoo - and, in particular, Toni & Guy’s Model.Me dry shampoo. Simply spritz it on paying close attention to the roots and massage in a little. The result is hair that looks almost as good as if freshly washed. Model.Me Erin Quick Fix Dry Shampoo, £5.49 at Boots.com
