Young London designer Danielle Scutt has moved away from the fashion fringes and hit the big time launching a 10-piece denim collection at Top Shop. Available in the Boutique section and in store from 2nd June, the collection will include a high-waisted denim skirt and a cotton bodysuit in a tiger print, alongside skinny jeans and miniskirts. Scutt’s designs have been popular in independent boutiques, and described by WWD as rockabilly-meets-Helmut Newton, it’s clear high street retailer Top Shop felt it was time the designer was made available to a wider audience. Cocktail rings are a huge must-have right now and Blaguette.com’s juicy offerings are my faves. This chunky knuckleduster looks far more spenny than the £30 smackers it actually costs and, coveted by Liz Hurley, it has the ultimate A-list approval.

After all, there’s a whole theatre of nature out there waiting to be seen! Designed and made in the UK, the ball aims to provide a safe environment for nesting small birds including Blue tits, Coal tits, March tits and long tailed tits. £29.99 from The Contemporary Home online shop.

I’m always up for a spot of sale shopping and 80 per cent off at online designer outlet Koodos.com is beckoning. Apparently, if you sign up for their Private Sales, you’ll be sent an email when a new one starts giving you first access to bargain designer arm candy, jewellery and clothing by the likes of Diesel, Fendi and Chloé. Sounds like a deal to me… This lush Chloé Silverado Boston bag is £550 reduced from £899.

What’s all this about scarves? They seem to be everywhere this summer! And I’m not just talking about any old scarf - I’m talking about the boho-style jet-set gipsy look scarf that makes one hell of a globe-trotting statement. Apparently the more printed and tassled it is: the better. Of course, it’s all got to look very thrown together so only approach this trend if you’re a bit of a bohemian at heart (or you’ll no doubt come across as a very un-hip fashion victim). With the right little black dress or black tee and groovy seventies jeans you’ll look the business for sure. This £14 Shemagh scarf from Urban Outfitters is a good starting point.

Benefit’s latest offering - Posietint - is causing a buzz on the beauty scene and I, for one, am ridiculously excited about its arrival in UK shops on 7th June. Fans of the Californian brand’s legendary Benetint will know exactly why the product has achieved cult status as a make-up bag staple for celebs and make-up artist alike and it’s hardly surprising that this new poppy-tinted version of the original Benetint is being so hotly touted. According to Benefit it “plants a kiss of see-through tint on cheeks and lips”. Available from 7th June 2008 at leading department stores and Benefit boutiques nationwide. £22.50.

Hotfoot it to Harrods to check out the just-launched first UK concession of Victoria Beckham’s denim label: dvb. If her uber-cool jeans (super-flared skinnies and fluoros) aren’t what you’re after, there’s oversized shades on offer - so you can really covet Mrs B’s signature style.

The Oxfam designer auction on ebay.co.uk seems to be going down a treat. As StyleJunkee reported a few days ago the charity chain have just opened the first of a series of boutiques selling selected designer pieces (so you don’t have to do the usual rummaging to find big name labels), and to kick things off a number of one-off dresses reworked by Giles Deacon and other top UK designers were put up for auction on ebay. This floral 50s style prom dress has garnered bids reaching £205 and rising. Less expensive items are also up for grabs. (The Oxfam designer boutique, by the way, is fab. Very swish and not at all like your average fusty Oxfam shop. Most importantly though it offers a great choice of high-end designers – I mean where else can you get goodies by Stella McCartney or Prada under one roof for less than £50? It’s well worth a trip or check out their online shop if you’re an out-of-towner).
